With twenty-plus years working in brand advertising, network promotions, documentary film and all primary streams of media production,  Katherine has established herself within this dynamic and ever-changing creative industry. In 2015 she was honored with her second  Emmy Award for her role as Executive Producer of the globally broadcast anthem spot "I Believe" apart of ESPN's campaign for  FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil. Her first Emmy was also earned wearing the EP hat on the mega-kid's network Nickelodeon for The Kids' Choice Awards featuring Will Smith. A promotional campaign Katherine enjoyed producing for  six consecutive years at the height of the show's viewership. As they say, "It's just nice to be nominated." Which Kennedy has been fortunate enough to experience numerous times in her career. 

 

Katherine's track record for high-profile, smooth productions, award winning projects and repeat clients is the result of her absolute commitment to each endeavor she embarks on. It's fair to say that one production leads to a long-standing relationship with her clients.

 

Working alongside acclaimed directors, photographers, recording artists, and top tier ad agencies and prod. co's, has allowed Kennedy to put her experience into action. For most of her career, focus was placed on ad campaigns for major domestic and international brands. These multi-location, often multi-continent, productions included Meta/Facebook, Siemens Global, Unilever, AT&T, BMW, Pfizer, Gilead Scientific, Budweiser, and other Fortune 500 companies. From 2000 to present she’s continued with commercial broadcast and print production, while broadening her client base to include television networks, internet and new media formats. Clients such as NetFlix, Amazon, ESPN, NBC Sports, NBA Ent, RedBull MediaHouse, with numerous years producing On-Air Feature Promotional Campaigns for Nickelodeon Movies, Universal, Paramount, DreamWorks, and Sony Pictures ; to list some of the high profile clients that compose her resume.

 

Other notable projects that have earned media awards or special recognition are with clients such Land Rover, Siemens Electronics, Rutherford Hill Wines, Prevention of Blindness America, Jaguar, and Archer, Daniels, Midland in which Kennedy supervised the film team on 3 continents highlighting specific aspects of this global company’s impact on the world food economy.

 

In addition to brand-based work, Katherine’s career has been enriched by the opportunity to produce music videos and short films; an arena that allows the creative process to breathe a bit more than most corporate campaigns. She has produced numerous videos for Pearl Jam, Norah Jones, Green Day, Bright Eyes, Augustana, Aimee Mann among many others and was the Line Producer on Academy Award Nominated Director Mike Mills’ short film Paperboys, and Nikon commissioned short film Dream Park with acclaimed Director and Photographer, Sandro.  

 

Kennedy strives not only to achieve, but exceed project goals, deliver excellent results, and create a positive environment for the entire production . Since 2007 Kennedy’s production team has implemented user-friendly methods of on set recycling, waste prevention, and use of solar supported production vehicles and equipment. 

 

Residing in coastal California, Katherine enjoys an outdoor lifestyle with her family. She's passionate about projects that reflect her dedication to the environment, teamwork, the creative-process and reflecting a positive outlook.
